Critical reflection on the implementation of the Gender Action Plan 2022–2025

Organized by: APWLD, Global Platform Workers Solidarity Project (GPWSP), Equidem, AFWA, and Fundación Avina.

Language: English, with informal translation to Spanish.

Despite progress in recent decades, gender disparities in wages, social protection, job security, and leadership opportunities continue to disproportionately affect women, especially those in informal, care, and platform-based work.

As the ILO concludes its Gender Action Plan (2022–2025), this moment offers a critical opportunity to reflect on progress and advance concrete, worker-led demands for a more just and inclusive world of work.

The objective of the event is to center women workers’ voices in assessing progress under the ILO Gender Action Plan and to advance concrete proposals for decent work in care and platform economies.

What to Expect

  • Reflections and testimonies from women workers
  • Interactive dialogue with panelists from unions, worker organizations, and civil society
  • Identification of key demands to inform ILC discussions and advocacy
  • Opportunities to strengthen cross-sector and cross-regional alliances

We would be honoured by your participation in this dialogue and your contribution to strengthening collective efforts toward gender equality at work.

Please confirm your attendance by 30 May 2026.
