US and International Perspectives on Sexual Harassment in Organized and Unorganized Workplaces
Join the Washington, D.C. chapter of the Labor and Employment Relations Association (DC LERA) for its 3rd Annual Labor Law Forum!
In 2023, DC LERA is focusing on sexual harassment in unionized and non-unionized workplaces. Our panel of speakers is a great mix of academics and practitioners. They will discuss a wide range of topics including the effectiveness of arbitration of sexual harassment cases in unionized and non-unionized workplaces in the US; the ITUC’s #RatifyC190 campaign and global efforts to ratify and implement ILO Convention 190 on Violence and Harassment at Work; implementation of the Dindigul Agreement to Eliminate Gender-Based Violence against garment workers at an H&M garment supplier factory in India; and some cutting edge research on collective bargaining to create female-friendly jobs in Brazil and elsewhere.
